Hey, welcome !

My name is Noélia. I was born in Cape Verde Islands and moved to Denmark back in 2010 and Where I started a family of my own. I am blessed with two beautiful daughters and a supportive husband.

I'm an adventurer at heart, who loves to travel and connect with people from all over the world! I am very close to my family from Cape Verde, even though non of them lives in Denmark.

I am a Copenhagen-based photographer passionate about documenting special events in people’s lives and creating life-lasting photo memories.

My passion for photography goes way back to when I was only 3 years old. That’s when i lost my dad in a drastic car accident. I was so small back then that i barely remember the person he once was. However as i grow up, all I had back were captured moments through pictures that he had once taken. At once i though they were only pictures but i came to realise that what my dad have left me was much more extraordinary. He has captured moments and memories that we cherished together and that I can have forever.

I believe that photos are very powerful tool to share your perspective or the way you perceive the world with others. The way each one of us sees the world is unique, and the sense of beauty is so subjective that a same captured picture can be seen differently by numerous people. Yet, it can be so powerful that it can also change the way you see things.

I love that photography can open your eyes for details. It’s actually such an incredible experience when you are looking for a subject or an instant to be captured and out of a sudden you are enchanted by emotions, shapes, lights, colours, textures, …and suddenly  everything around you looks different when you start to see the world through the lenses as a photographer does. Yap, that’s how I feel!

I am passionate about photography because it has changed my everyday experience. Capturing photos allows me to see the beauty in the every day life but I also allows me to explore my sense of creativity.

As a person, I am continuously looking for opportunities to develop myself and build on the set of skills and experiences that I have acquired. Within the photography universe, I will always be learning something new, and I will have new directions to explore or new challenges to face and that excites me a lot. I feel like i can never get bored within the photography universe. For me it’s already part of who I am as a person. It’s a way I have found to express myself, connect with others and to tell stories.
